Aviation Specialties Unlimited completes NVG STC Project on S-76C++ for Petroleum Helicopters

ASU has completed a multi-ship Supplemental Type Certificate night vision modification for a Sikorsky S-76C++ aircraft owned and operated by PHI, Inc, headquartered in Lafayette, LA.

The aircraft, which is fully equipped with medical equipment, a Flight Nurse, and Paramedic will used to support offshore Oil and Gas customers for Emergency Medical Services, on a 24 hour, 7 day a week availability combining IFR and NVG capabilities.

“We at ASU are very excited and proud to be a part of this first of its kind project”, states Mike Atwood, President of ASU located in Boise, ID. This new addition brings the total of STC’s held by ASU to 13 STC’s covering 30 models of aircraft and with nearly 300 commercial modifications.
