UK procures four Mission Master UGVs
The UK has ordered four Rheinmetall Mission Master UGVs which will form part of its Robotic Platoon Vehicle programme.
The vehicles are due to be delivered in spring 2020 and will boost the UK armed forces combat effectiveness and capabilities of dismounted ground troops by reducing the load soldiers must carry.
In total, the platform can transport equipment and supplies weighing 0.5t.
Mission Masters are designed for transporting cargo, or two stretcher systems can be attached to the platform in 60s.
Possible applications for the UGV could include ISR, medical evacuation, firefighting and CBNR detection and reconnaissance whilst also supporting radio relay.
