Textron Systems Unmanned Systems is performing 4,000 hours of fee-for-service operations with the Aerosonde UAS each month, it has been revealed.
The OEM is currently looking at expanding its commercial operations with the Aerosonde, a platform that has seen extensive service with the US military in Afghanistan, and found levels of interest in fee-for-service business arrangements had increased.
This method sees Textron Systems provide both platform and operators in performing a specific task such as industrial facility and infrastructure inspections.
