Thales will provide the Kuwait military with flight and mission training solutions for the H225M Caracal helicopters on order from Airbus Helicopters, the company announced on 19 June.

Kuwait is acquiring 30 multirole H225M helicopters for the air force and national guard for combat search and rescue, transport and ground support missions.

Thales will supply a total of three simulators - one Reality H Full Flight Mission Simulator (FFMS) and two flight procedures and tactical training stations – for flight and tactical mission training.

The Reality H Full FFMS will provide pilots with training in navigation, instrument flight, equipment failures and emergency procedures.

The ground training stations will provide initial training in flight procedures for new pilots and tactical training for captains and crews.

Thales' contract with Airbus Helicopters includes the maintenance of the simulators for at least three years.
