RDDS Avionics Limited displayed its RD3003 dual mission computer designed for special mission platforms for air, sea or land vehicles, to attendees of this year's Vertical Flight Expo & Conference in Farnborough.

As one of the most robust and mission capable systems in use today, the RD3003 builds on the experience with the company’s flagship MMU200 series, which has been upgraded to the latest specification hardware available.

The RD3003 can host a variety of sensors inputs and sensor HMI operating software such as surveillance radar, FLIR, sonar through to electronic warfare.

The RD3003 open architecture and robust form factor delivers the highest performance in the toughest environments, which is complemented with dual-processor redundancy. This allows the mission system integrator and operator to be confident of delivering optimal hardware performance in mission critical environments.

The RD3003 dual mission Ccomputer has 8GB of RAM and can host all customer-specified mission software, including RDDS Maritime and Reconnaissance software packages.

Representatives from RDDS explained that the dual solid-state drives are dedicated to host any operating system, and the secondary feature has 512GB of local user application storage.
