Oceania Aviation has delivered a new Bell 505 Jet Ranger X helicopter to a customer in New Zealand, the company announced on 4 April.

The helicopter is the second 505 Jet Ranger X to enter the New Zealand aircraft registry.

Oceania Aviation’s North Shore team assembled the aircraft and conducted test flights with assistance from Bell Helicopter. The Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand then completed the import Certificate of Airworthiness.

The Bell 505 Jet Ranger X is a five-seater helicopter with a fully integrated glass flight deck featuring the Garmin G1000H avionics suite, a dual FADEC engine, large open cabin, Long Ranger B206L-4 blades and transmission and increased useful load.

Russell Keast, manager of North Shore branch, Oceania Aviation, said: ‘The new owners told us nearly four years ago that they had ordered a new Bell 505 and we very pleased that they wanted us to assemble it for them. The assembly and import C of A were straightforward and following an extended check flight I was sold on the helicopter especially in regards to the comfort of the seats, visibility, and the very smooth ride.’
