Netherlands seeks CMWS from US
The US State Department has made a determination approving a potential foreign military sale of AN/AAR-57A(V)7 Common Missile Warning Systems (CMWS) to the Netherlands, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency announced on 10 July.
Under a package worth $58.2 million, the Netherlands has requested 32 AN/AAR-57A(V)7 CMWS to equip its AH-64D Apache helicopters.
The request also includes mission equipment, hardware and services, communication and navigation equipment, special tools and test equipment, ground support equipment, technical data, publications, training and other related elements of logistics and programme support.
The request forms an amendment to an earlier request for 33 AN/AVR-2B laser detecting sets with various support elements.
If the sale goes ahead, BAE Systems will be the prime contractor for the programme.
