Helijet’s S-76C+ to get night vision system
VIH Aerospace (VIHA) will develop and install three Supplemental Type Certified night vision systems for Helijet International’s three Sikorsky S-76C+ helicopters in collaboration with Rebtech Technologies and Night Flight Concepts, the company announced on 5 September.
Under the partnership, VIHA will work with Helijet to determine requirements for the design and installation of the night vision system.
The three S-76c+ helicopters support the BC Ambulance Service operated by British Columbia Emergency Health Services.
Arne Arneson, GM for VIH Aerospace, said: ‘VIH Aerospace and Rebtech have partnered on a range night vision solutions for customers and the opportunity to work with an air ambulance leader like Helijet, right here in British Columbia, is a perfect opportunity to showcase our expertise.
‘As in all our projects, our goal is to develop and deliver optimal night vision systems for Helijet’s three S-76C+ helicopters that will meet the high demands placed on them during life-saving night-time operations.’
