Waypoint Leasing has concluded a leasing transaction with CAF Táxi Aéreo in Brazil for one H145 helicopter, the company announced on 1 February.

CAF will use the helicopter to charter corporate/VIP flights in São Paulo and the surrounding region.

The aircraft will be delivered from Germany to Airbus' Brazilian subsidiary, Helibras, for reassembly. Helibras will also provide full support of the model in the country.

The helicopter is fitted with Helionix digital dashboard, which, in addition to improving and facilitating flight, also reduces maintenance and training costs. The system has three multifunctional screens that integrate various functions such as digital map, synthetic vision, increased situational awareness and advanced automatic four-axis autopilot.

Dominique Andreani, vice president of sales of aircraft, support and services, Helibras, said: ‘We are honoured to participate in this project together with CAF and Waypoint as we see a promising future for H145 in Brazil. We understand that this model is presented as the next step for more than 100 local light biturbine operators to move up the category.’
