Russian Helicopters anticipates Mi-171A2 demand
Russian Helicopters has announced that it expects China General Aviation Service to order a batch of six Mi-171A2 helicopters for delivery by 2022.
The helicopters will be manufactured at the Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant. Russian Helicopters is currently working on validation of an Mi-171A2 certificate in China to meet local demand.
The Mi-171A2 multi-purpose helicopter is an upgraded version of the Mi-8/17. The helicopter is equipped with a civilian version of engines installed on Mi-28 combat helicopters, with a digital control system.
In August 2017, the helicopter received a Category A certificate from the Federal Air Transport Agency of the Russian Federation.
