CHC Australia receives shared services contract
CHC Australia has received a shared service contract from four offshore operators in Australia's North West Shelf and North West Cape regions, the company announced on 17 September.
The contract will commence in July 2019 and will see CHC provide passenger transfer flights, medical evacuation and search and rescue services for Woodside, Jadestone Energy, Vermilion Energy and BHP from bases in Australia’s Pilbara region.
The five-year contract has two two-year extension options. The company will use two AW139 medium helicopters and two AW189 super medium helicopters to provide the service.
CHC will provide more than ten daily flights from bases at Karratha, Learmonth and Onslow Airports. The company expects to transport more than 100,000 passengers a year.
