Bell 525 resumes flight testing
Bell Helicopter has resumed the flight test programme of the Bell 525 Relentless after receiving an experimental certificate renewal from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the company announced on 7 July.
The programme is now moving forward again following the crash of a flight test vehicle in July 2016.
Mitch Snyder, president and CEO, Bell Helicopter, said: ‘Today we have resumed a key element of the Bell 525 programme. Bell Helicopter has worked with the National Transportation Safety Board and FAA since the accident and we are confident in the resumption of flight test activity.
'The team is focused on certification in 2018 and we are committed to bringing this innovative and high-performing helicopter to market.’
