Babcock has received a two-year contract from oil and gas operator TAQA to provide helicopter offshore crew transfer services.

The contract will see Babcock transport passengers from its heliport in Aberdeen to the TAQA operated Harding platform in the central North Sea using S-92 helicopters. Flights will operate up to five times a week for TAQA, with services expected to begin in early July 2018.

Rob Dyas, director of offshore at Babcock in Aberdeen, said: ‘This is an important contract for Babcock and we are delighted to have been selected as an aviation partner for TAQA. Our dedication to safe and efficient operations will see passengers flown between Aberdeen and the Harding platform in our fleet of S-92 helicopters, specially configured for North Sea crew transport operations.'
