Eagle Australasia has delivered a second Eagle 407HP converted helicopter to Allway Logistics, the company announced on 5 April.

The aircraft will be operated by Heli SGI in the mountains of West Papua, Indonesia.

The helicopter’s conversion includes the replacement of the standard Bell 407 Rolls Royce C47 turbine engine with a next-generation Honeywell HTS900 turboshaft. The new engine improves the helicopter’s high-altitude and hot ambient performance capability.

The converted 407HP is able to carry more fuel than a standard 407 when carrying a similar load, and almost double its payload at 11,300ft with a density altitude of 13,000ft.
