Airbus Helicopters has marked the 30th anniversary of Southern Vietnam Helicopter (VNH) South flying Airbus Helicopters' aircraft in offshore missions in Vietnam, the company announced on 4 October.

VNH South began its operations in Vietnam in 1986 with a Puma helicopter. Its current fleet includes four AS332 L2s, two H155s, and four H225s. The company has accumulated more than 270,000 hours of offshore oil and gas flights.

Initially based at Vung Tau Airport, VNH South has expanded its activities to three additional bases and new mission segments, including aerial survey and photography, medical evacuation and search and rescue services , as well as fire-fighting and sling load work.

Guillaume Faury, president and CEO of Airbus Helicopters, said: ‘We are honoured to recognise VNH South for their dedication and to highlight our longstanding partnership.

‘They have placed their trust in a variety of our helicopters for more than three decades, and we commend their unwavering commitment not only to their operations but to the entire oil and gas community.’
