Airbus Helicopters hits H130 milestone
Airbus Helicopters has rolled out the 700th H130 helicopter, the company announced on 16 May. The aircraft is set to be delivered to a private customer.
Since its entry into service as the EC130 in 2001, the H130 fleet has flown over 1.8 million flight hours with 340 operators worldwide. The latest variant was certified in 2012, with the most recent improvements including a glass cockpit for increased pilot awareness and enhanced safety.
The H130 is deployed for a range of missions, including passenger transportation, sightseeing and VIP missions, as well as medical airlift.
The helicopter provides a large, spacious cabin for passenger comfort and visibility, combined with advanced technology and safety features.
