Airbus Helicopters’ Fleet Keeper electronic technical logbook has been accepted by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), the company announced on 9 October.

The Philippines is the second country in Southeast Asia, after Singapore, to accept the use of Fleet Keeper logs.

Following four months of interactions and demonstrations, CAAP has confirmed that Fleet Keeper meets the country’s airworthiness requirements, clearing operators to substitute paper technical logbooks for Fleet Keeper in Philippines’ operations.

Five local operators have signed their aircraft up to the programme.

Fleet Keeper is an e-solution that builds upon traditional paper-based technical log books, provding cockpit views of a customer’s fleet status and enabling real-time data exchanges between pilots, line mechanics and airworthiness managers.

The system is compatible with all Airbus’ helicopters, as well as helicopters of other manufacturers.
