Aero Dynamix announces new award

Aero Dynamix has announced that it has received a contract from the Los Angeles Fire Department to upgrade up to five AgustaWestland AW-139 helicopters used in search and rescue, aerial firefighting and other missions conducted by the Air Operations unit.

According to the company, the NVG upgrades will be accomplished over 24 months and will encompass internal NVIS avionics modifications, edge lit panels and instrument overlays, switches and warning indicators, and external navigation and anti-collision lights.

Aero Dynamix has previously completed STC approved NVG upgrades for LAFD’s Bell Jet Ranger and two Bell 412s.
