US Army targets force projection improvements

The US Army has begun using administrative unit movements to help practice and refine what some view as lost skill sets necessary for rapid force projection.

That was one of the messages from Lt Gen Aundre Piggee, US Army Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics (G4), at this week's NDIA National Logistics Forum in Tampa, Florida.

Identifying what he described as his 'focus areas to meet the Chief of Staff of the Army's intent to improve readiness', Piggee pointed to three broad categories: global readiness; supply chain health; and logistics enablers.
