Uralvagonzavod’s V-92S2F diesel tank engine has successfully passed testing and received documentation for serial production, Rostec announced on 28 November.

The V-engine’s development work was carried out at Uralvagonzavod’s ChTZ-Uraltrak facility.

The V-92S2F engine has been specially developed for installation on modernised and new serial tanks with a capacity of 1130hp, including the T-72BZ and T-72B3. The engine is designed to enhance the vehicles' mobility and operational characteristics.

The new engine has been developed in the same dimensions as its predecessor, the V-92S2, and can be installed in the engine compartment of the tank without any modifications to the machine.
