SOFEX 2010: Jordan to receive Jeep 18 ISVs and J8s
Jordan Armed Forces are set to receive an undisclosed number of Jeep J8 patrol and Hunter internal security vehicles (ISVs) after signing deals at the Special Operations Forces Exhibition (SOFEX) in Amman, Jordan.
Jordan’s 71st counter-terrorism (CT) battalion will be supplied with an undisclosed number of Hunter ISVs for ‘specialist dynamic entry requirements’.
According to Jordan Light Vehicle Manufacturing (JLVM), a joint venture between The Jankel Group and the King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau, the Hunter ISVs will be fitted with a tactical intervention ladder system.
Based on the Toyota LandCruiser chassis, the ISV is upgraded to accept
