Vulcano 155mm ammunition is ready for production

Artillery forces are seeking more range and greater accuracy but the key is still target acquisition, especially at longer ranges.

With this in mind, Leonardo has completed development, industrialisation and qualification in Italy of the Vulcano 155mm Ballistic Extended Range (BER) unguided artillery projectile.

The BER projectile (pictured without the sabot and showing control services at the front and the fixed fins at the rear) has already been type classified by the Italian Army and it is now ready for quantity production as soon as orders are placed.

Leonardo confirmed that Vulcano 155mm BER is currently at Technology Readiness Level
