Ukraine gains four more Gyurza-M boats

The Ukrainian Navy is set to take delivery of four more Project 58155 Gyurza-M armoured artillery boats alongside announcing ambitious plans for building of a new class of missile boats.

The official flag-raising ceremony of the four new Gyurza-class boats was held on 5 December in Odesa and the boats received their names – Vyshegorod, Kremenchug, Lybny and Nikopol. These four new boats are to join the two of the same class commissioned in December 2016.

The Ukrainian Navy Commander, VAdm Igor Voronchenko, said that the testing effort of the four new boats is almost complete
