UDT 2018: Underwater scooter continues to evolve

Stidd Systems is continuing the development of its diver propulsion device (DPD) having already sold 400 units to various NATO customers.

The company is currently working on a customer request to integrate a floatable antenna onto the ever evolving platform. In addition, the company has recently evaluated a diver pole capable of towing more than four divers.

The DPD was shown at UDT 2018 with the OM2 automated antenna mast which is fixed to the platform. The OM2 allows for full remote autonomous control of the DPD while maintaining a manned capability.
