UDT 2018: BAE Systems introduces home-grown Archerfish launcher

BAE Systems showcased its new launcher for the Archerfish mine neutralisation system at UDT in Glasgow.

Although the company already delivers the solution to the US Navy under a $22.1 million contract awarded by US Department of Defense (DoD) in 2016, the service currently utilises a Raytheon launch system.

The current capability is part of the MH60 Airborne Mine Neutralisation System (AMNS).

The launcher in use with the US Navy was jointly developed with Raytheon acting as prime system integrator in the US for the Archerfish.
