UAE continues to strengthen maritime base

With topics such as missile defence and aviation driving conversation in the Gulf region at present, the UAE has been continuing its efforts to expand its naval presence and maritime logistics capabilities.

Recent developments in the past week has seen announcements made with two of the naval worlds most prominent names; France-based Naval Group and the UK’s Rolls Royce.

French President Emmanuel Macron visited Abu Dhabi and Riyadh last week, which saw a number of deals signed with the UAE, among them commitment to continue dialogue and support for counter-terror cooperation.
