ST Engineering Marine has detailed contracts received in the third quarter of 2018 for work at its yards in Singapore and the US.

US Naval Sea Systems Command awarded the company a contract including options worth $244 million for the detailed design and construction of two Auxiliary Personnel Lighter Small APL class berthing barges. The delivery of the two vessels is expected in the second and third quarter of 2020. Options for a further four vessels could be exercised for delivery between 2019 and 2022.

ST Engineering’s ship and rig repair business secured contracts worth around $25.25 million for both commercial and naval projects. Its US repair business near Pascagoula shipyard has received new orders for repair and maintenance services. These contracts include repair of dredgers, offshore vessels, oil and chemical tankers and high engineering content conversion of an anchor handling tug supply vessel.

The business also secured its first refit on a naval platform for a foreign navy with operations in the Indo-Pacific region.
