Raytheon to support RAN combat systems upgrades
Under a new agreement announced on 8 October, Raytheon will provide combat system engineering support services to the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) for up to six years.
The agreement will see Raytheon Australia support upgrades to RAN surface ship combat systems via the provision of engineering and logistics services.
According to the Australian Department of Defence, the work will aim to capitalise on existing knowledge, skills, systems and processes developed by Raytheon Australia through the Hobart class destroyer acquisition programme.
