Pakistan launches fourth 600t patrol vessel
The Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) launched its fourth 600t Hingol-class maritime patrol vessel on 5 December. The future PMSS Zhob bears the pennant number 1073.
The vessel was built by the Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KS&EW), with construction commencing in May 2016. It did so with technical cooperation from the China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), which built the first three vessels of the class in China.
Pakistan Navy (PN) chief Adm Zafar Mahmood Abbasi attended the ceremony, stating that the ship was a symbol of the long-term friendship between Pakistan and China.
