Pakistan Customs receives two FRP boats

Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works handed over two new high speed Fibre Reinforced Plastic (FRP) boats to Pakistan Customs in a ceremony held on 10 March.

The vessels will be used by Pakistan Customs to carry out maritime security missions, including counter-smuggling operations.

The boats measure 16m in length and have a displacement of 20 tonnes with maximum speed of 32 knots. They are equipped with 7.6mm and 12.5mm machine guns at aft position. The vessels are powered by two Volvo Penta marine diesel engines and two water jets.
