MSPO 2018: BAE moves closer to APKWS land and sea integration
BAE Systems is pressing forward with plans for the Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System to equip ground and naval operators, after finding success in the rotary and combat jet markets.
During a media briefing, a BAE Systems spokesperson said that the company had been approached ‘by a country’ to place the laser-guided rockets system on board ships, while it currently waits on missile launcher manufacturer Arnold Defence to qualify a land based launcher, (from its Fletcher family), to pave a way forward for land campaigns.
