Damen will supply three additional patrol vessels to the Mexican Navy as part of a contract announced on 6 January.

The vessels will be based on the Damen Stan Patrol 4207 design, and will be built by the Mexican Navy Yard ASTIMAR 1 in Tampico. Damen will provide the engineering, material package, technical assistance and crew training.

The 42 metre vessels will join the navy’s Ténochtitlan class, bringing the class to a total of ten vessels.

The new vessels are expected to be launched in 2016.
