Lithuania commissions former Danish patrol ship
With most of the defence headlines in Eastern Europe dominated by the arriving NATO forces the re-equipping by regional countries of their militaries can fly under the radar.
Lithuania is one such country in the spotlight and recent years has seen it begin to improve its capabilities, particularly at sea. Most recently the country commissioned a new patrol vessel purchased from Denmark along with submarine detection sonar systems for €6.5 million ($6.9 million) last year.
