Insight: Colombian Navy strengthens diving capabilities
The Colombian Navy (ARC) is currently immersed in a reorganisation and modernisation effort aimed at improving the capabilities of its diving component which aims to make it more efficient and able to respond to the evolving needs of the force.
At present, the ARC relies on the Cartagena Naval Base, ARC Bolivar Diving and Rescue Department (DEBUSA), as its main diving unit, Capt Elkin Pacheco, deputy director of the DEBUSA, explained to Shephard.
