Indo Defence 2018: Countermeasure systems take the stage

2nd November 2018 - 14:03 GMT | by Kate Martyr in London

Both Lacroix and Terma-Chemring will be showcasing countermeasure solutions at Indo Defence on the back of respective contract wins in Asia-Pacific and Europe.

Firstly, ship defensive systems company Terma has joined forces with UK-based manufacturer Chemring Countermeasures to develop a soft-kill system for surface unit defence.

The system combines Chemring’s Centurion launcher with Terma’s C-Guard defensive aid suite, and the system will utilise 130mm decoy rounds and deploy a range of off-board expendable decoys.

The integrated system is designed to protect against coordinated multi-threat and multi-directional attacks. It is fully scalable up to providing platform protection against anti-ship missile threats.
