IMDEX Asia: Windward reveals enhanced MARINT solution
Maritime data and analytics company Windward unveiled a new version of its MARINT intelligence product at IMDEX Asia 2015 in Singapore.
According to Windward, MARINT is the first activity-based intelligence (ABI) product in the maritime domain, which allows security and intelligence agencies to pre-emptively identify risks at sea, giving them adequate time to prepare and respond to threats.
MARINT shifts the focus away from watching individual ocean-going vessels to an analysis of all available ship data that can reveal, in real time, hidden behaviour patterns, vessel networks and suspicious activities to provide ‘unprecedented understanding’ of the world’s oceans.
