GD awarded Royal Navy Dreadnought work

General Dynamics Mission Systems has been awarded $64.8 million for the Strategic Weapon System Fire Control Subsystem hardware for the Royal Navy’s second Dreadnought-class nuclear submarine

It will deliver systems plus spares for HMS Valiant, and work will be performed in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, and is expected to be completed by 22 August 2025.  

Funds of $7.6 million from the UK were obligated at the point of award, and Strategic Systems Programs, Washington, DC, is the contracting activity.
