Euronaval: US moves to protect its waterways
After more than a decade of combating the threat of IEDs in Afghanistan, the US is applying the lessons learned during that conflict to the protection of its domestic harbours and waterways.
The Department of Homeland Security awarded a contract to Saab in July to develop an ROV able to manipulate and ‘immunise’ threats such as waterborne IEDs or limpet mines.
