Euronaval 2012: navOcean offers naval training
Défense Conseil International (DCI) and Piriou have developed the navOcean JV for the development of a purpose-built maritime vessel for military training.
Piriou is to build the 44m Almak platform, which is due to be delivered in September 2013, while DCI's focus is on training. The training will mainly centre on training militaries in the Middle East and Asia in the same style as the French Navy.
'Our main objective is to bring to foreign countries the French know how,' Jean Louis Rotrubin, chairman and CEO of the company, told Shephard during the Euronaval exhibition in Paris, France.
