Bangladesh receives final Indonesian-designed patrol boats

North Sea Boats, the trading name for the Indonesian shipbuilder PT Lundin, has completed delivery of the final examples of 18 fast patrol boats for the Bangladesh Navy (BN).

An original transfer of technology contract for these 9.78t X12 boats was signed for the BN and for the Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) as long ago as 28 October 2014.

North Sea Boats built two BCG units in Banyuwangi, Indonesia, while a total of 16 other vessels were constructed locally at the Dockyard and Engineering Works in Narayanganj, which is Bangladesh’s naval shipyard.
