Bangladesh Navy Dornier 228s complete MRO inspection

RUAG MRO International has completed a 72-month inspection on the Bangladesh Navy’s Dornier 228-212 special mission aircraft, the company announced on 9 December.

The maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) work was conducted out at RUAG’s aircraft production facilities in Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany. Training for Bangladesh Navy maintenance technical specialists was carried out at the same time.

Following redelivery of the aircraft at its home base in Dhaka, Bangladesh, the fleet has re-entered service conducting surveillance and patrol flights in Bangladesh sovereign waters.

RUAG MRO International is an EASA approved Part 21J Design Organization and is the Dornier 228 Type Certificate holder.
