BAE sets sights on Orkan-class modernisation

BAE Systems plans to play a role in the upcoming modernisation programme of three Polish Navy's Orkan-class fast attack craft (FAC).

The company unveiled its plans to take part in one of the major modernisation programmes of the Polish Navy during last month's Balt Military Expo in Gdansk, where it presented a scale model of its Bofors 57mm Mk3 naval gun.

The model was showcased 'in support of the modernisation programmes for the Polish Navy, with our initial focus being on the Orkan-class midlife upgrade programme, where we see this gun be a good fit,' according to Stefan
