Atlas Electronik has secured two new contracts with undisclosed customers in the Middle East and Asia for the supply of its Cerberus diver detection system (DDS), the company announced on 18 November.

The first is a follow-on contract that will see the company supply a number of sonars to expand a naval harbour protection system. The system will feature AEUK’s fully integrated multi-sonar software which allows the simultaneous operation of multiple sonars.

The second contract is with a Middle Eastern navy that has chosen Cerberus for installation on navy vessels. These systems have already been delivered under an urgent operational agreement.

Cerberus  designed  to  detect  and  classify open and closed circuit divers, swimmers, swimmer delivery vehicles and unmanned underwater vehicles. The system provides a lightweight deployable package capable of being operated from ships or as part of a fixed harbour installation.
