Wizz Air is to begin a new service between Italy and the Czech Republic with flights from Prague to Venice/Treviso from 20 September and operated three times a week. The new services will take the routes served from Ruzyne Airport to 15 in total.
Wizz Air launched in the Czech Republic in February this year and has been continuously adding routes and increasing frequencies on the existing ones. As announced previously, the airline will base two new Airbus A320s in the Czech capital.
The airline believes it will have gained 19% of the total low-fare market in Prague by August, on track to its target of becoming the largest low-fare airline in the Czech Republic in 2010.
