Vueling Airlines increased its April load factor year-on-year by 7.7 percentage points, to 75.4%.

The carrier's main traffic figures for the month show revenue passenger kilometres (RPKs) up by 11.3% to 499.8 million from 448.9 million in April 2008. With capacity in available seat kilometres dropping slightly year-on-year by 0.02% to 663.2 million from 663.3 million, the resultant load factor, as mentioned, jumped 7.7 percentage points from 67.7% last April to 75.4%.

Vueling notes that although the timing of Easter had a positive contribution in the load factor rise, its increase was "higher than the those reported by any other European airline".
