Vueling Airlines, soon to merge with clickair, has announced its traffic statistics for May 2009.
Revenue passenger kilometres (RPKs) totalled 413.4 million, an 11.8% decrease compared with May 2008's 468.8 million. However, the airline cut its capacity, measured in available seat kilometres (ASKs), by 12.5%, from 666.9 million last May to 583.3 million in May this year.
This led to a slight load factor increase of 0.6 percentage points to 70.9% from 70.3% in May last year.
The airline performed 3,350 flights in May compared with 3,838 flight in May 2008, a 12.7% decrease.
