Teledyne end-to-end support for NIKI E-190s
Teledyne Controls reports that Austrian low-fare airline NIKI has ordered Teledyne’s integrated Data Management Unit (iDMU) and Wireless GroundLink Quick Access Recorder (WQAR) for installation on the Embraer 190 fleet of five aircraft, plus five on option.
NIKI also selected the AirFASE (Aircraft Flight Analysis Safety Explorer) software for its flight data analysis programme. Together these systems are designed to provide NIKI with a reliable and seamless FOQA (Flight Operations Quality Assurance) solution for aircraft condition monitoring (ACM), data recording, wireless data transfer and flight data replay and analysis.
The first E-190 has just entered service with the carrier.
“After successfully installing the WQAR and the Flight Data Integrated Management Units (FDIMU) on our Airbus A320 fleet last year, we decided to outfit our Embraer fleet with similar solutions and deploy wireless data transfer capabilities across our entire fleet,” said NIKI’s technical director, Erich Ceru. “By integrating the iDMU, WQAR and AirFASE, we can increase the frequency of data retrieval and the accessibility to our aircraft data and ACMS engine reports for a highly efficient operation.”
