The World Airline Awards organised by Skytrax have celebrated their 10th anniversary with an event at Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg.
The 34 category winners are selected by airline customers, with more than 16 million passengers, representing 95 different nationalities, taking part in this year's Skytrax World Airline Survey. The awards are recognised for being the only truly global, independent passenger survey of airline standards. The survey does not receive any outside or third-party sponsorship; it is entirely funded by Skytrax Research.
AirAsia took the global award for the best low-fare airline as judged in the category, Best Low-Cost Airline. The full list of winners reads:
