Lufthansa Technik (LHT) and Sama Airlines have signed a contract for Total Material Operations (TMO). LHT will provide material and engineering services for the low-fare airline's growing fleet of Boeing 737-300s (to date six) in the upcoming seven years. The services begin in March.
The TMO product will cover all material operations including pooling, MRO services and the supply with all aircraft materials from consumables and expendables to cabin parts. Work will also be supported by on-site management services at Sama's maintenance hub in Dammam.
"Sama chose Lufthansa Technik for its experience in the region and its high standards of quality on technical services for commercial aircraft around the world. We trust this agreement will support our operation's reliability and efficiency," remarked Bruce Ashby, chief executive officer of Sama.
