Republic Airways Holdings, parent company of Chautauqua Airlines, Republic Airlines and Shuttle America, has reported preliminary passenger traffic results for April 2009.
The company generated 850.0 million revenue passenger miles (RPMs), a 2.8% decrease from 874.4 million in the same month last year. Available seat miles (ASMs) decreased 2.0% to 1,129.2 million from 1,152.1 million.
Block hours were 59,464 in April 2009, an 8.4% decrease from April 2008's 64,909. The load factor stayed roughly level at 75.3% versus 75.9% in April 2008. Meanwhile, a total of 1,686,742 passengers were carried during the month, a 0.9% increase from the 1,672,144 carried in same month last year.
